I am running for the Maine Senate in order to continue the hard work and the progress we have made in protecting our community, investing in jobs, education and health care and preserve our natural environment. Since starting on the City Council in 1996 I devoted my energies to move Bangor in a new and more hopeful and more productive direction. We started with rebuilding Downtown. Purchasing the Grant's building, the Freese's building, renovating the Penobscot Theater building, bringing the University of Maine Art Museum downtown, redeveloping Hammond Street courtyard, providing incentives to developers for opening up housing downtown and much more.
